Soquel Creek Water District
Do More to Use Less Conservation Campaign and miscellaneous graphic and web design services
Deliverables
Our work with the Soquel Creek Water District ran deep. We developed a major conservation campaign, Do More to Use Less that was implemented throughout their outreach materials, including: an extensive “Your Neighbors Saving Water” section on the website; a series of large banners and signage to be hung in visible public spaces; and supporting print collateral such as ads, postcards, coasters, door hangers, flyers and brochures. During the Conservation Campaign we identified, interviewed and photographed influential customers, businesses, and community leaders creating a strong narrative of how to easily practice water-saving habits.
We completely redesigned the District’s website, first extensively interviewing staff and board members to determine needs in a new web platform. We then developed a robust, easy to mange website that can scale as needs grow. We also developed the first style guide for the District to establish a consistent brand for print collateral, signage, advertising, social media and the ever expanding website.

Results
After a series of Water District customer interviews we created a very successful conservation campaign. “Do More to Use Less” conveys authentic stories of neighbors sharing their water conservation efforts in creative and achievable ways- positioning less water use as a lifestyle enhancer instead of sacrifice. The “Do More to Use Less” campaign was applied to the website, banners, advertising, social media and brochures. The program was so successful customers began requesting to be featured in the campaign.
